Starting with June 2021, Ryanair launched its operations at Sibiu International Airport, on June 1, 2021, starting the operation of the first direct flights from Sibiu to Venice-Treviso (flights Tuesday and Saturday). Thus, Ryanair is the sixth air operator to choose to develop its operations at Sibiu International Airport, recognizing the potential of the region at a time when the aviation industry is significantly affected by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Starting with June 19, 2021, Ryanair operates direct flights from Sibiu to Corfu – Greece (flights Tuesday and Saturday), and starting with July 16, 2021, direct flights are launched from Sibiu to Bologna – Italy (flights Monday and Friday).
Starting with the winter season 2021-2022, Ryanair will open the fourth route from Sibiu to Billund, Denmark, which will be operated 2 times a week on Mondays and Fridays.
