Sibiu International Airport is organizing the first edition of the “Sibiu Travel Festival” tourism fair—2026 edition—dedicated to promoting vacation packages with flights departing from Sibiu.

The Sibiu Travel Festival is open to the general public, with free admission throughout the event.
Sibiu Travel Festival brings the public from Sibiu and the surrounding region closer to attractive tourist offers for the summer 2026 season, available through local travel agencies and tourism industry partners — similar to those presented at the Romania Tourism Fair – Spring 2026 edition, held in Bucharest between February 12–15, 2026.
Sibiu International Airport becomes, for two days, a meeting space for passengers, visitors, and tourism professionals, supporting the development of local tourism, mobility and air connectivity of the region.
By organizing this event, Sibiu International Airport reinforces its role as an active community partner, supporting the development of local and regional tourism, mobility and air connectivity, collaboration between tourism stakeholders and the general public. "Sibiu Travel Festival" aims to become a landmark event for Sibiu's tourism scene, through an accessible, welcoming, and community-oriented format.

Anii Drumeției – „Anii Drumeției” is a program initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council, in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association, with the aim of promoting Sibiu County as an attractive destination for ecotourism, revitalizing the county’s hiking infrastructure, promoting ecotourism-specific activities: hiking, cycling, horseback riding, flora and fauna observation, and cultural tours. as well as to enhance the value of natural resources through non-intrusive, environmentally friendly activities.
Muzeul ASTRA – The ASTRA Open-Air Museum in Sibiu is Romania’s most important ethnographic museum and the largest open-air museum in Europe. An ideal place for preserving the authentic Romanian spirit, the Open-Air Museum is situated in a true paradise, within the “Dumbrava Sibiului” Nature Reserve. A simple stroll through its 96 hectares reveals to visitors a picture of rural life across our entire country, brought to life through over 400 houses, farm buildings, and technical installations. The open-air museum hosts a multitude of cultural events and activities each year
Povestea Calendarului – Povestea Calendarului is a theme park located in Sibiu County (Porumbacu de Sus), which presents the calendar in a spectacular way, along with the legends of the 12 months of the year and Romanian traditions and customs. Each month of the year is represented by a small house with unique architecture, inspired by the popular names and specific characteristics of each period..
Through their involvement, local partners help promote the cultural and tourist attractions and experiences available in the Sibiu region.
